Mountainview International Church
FROM DORDT STUDENTS TO CHURCH PLANTERS

Dear Friends,

Summer is here, and that means change.  As recent graduates, April and I definitely sense our lives changing--whether we're ready for it or not.

God is faithful, though.  During a semester in Amsterdam two years ago, God gave us a passion for the people and the culture of Western Europe.  We've been pursuing this passion since last summer.  Ironically, after some research, God led us back to our church in Amsterdam, Crossroads International Church , which is a church plant with an organization called Christian Associates International (CAI).  The more time we spend with CAI, the more we respect its people and what it stands for.

CAI is distinctive in many ways. First, CAI is committed to Western Europe.  Less than 5% of the population in urban Europe attends church.  April and I sensed European churches were tired and worn-out, remnants of the past.  Second, CAI seeks to be relevant in the emerging European culture.  CAI reaches people who are globally-minded, urban, media-driven, postmodernistic, and English-speaking.   Third, CAI believes in lifelong development of staff and church members.  Finally, CAI values healthy team work.

Recently, CAI placed us with a team in Madrid, Spain.  Spain has over 40 million people, but it's estimated that less than 1 in 200 follow Christ.  Faith among the 100,000 English-speaking Internationals living in Madrid is just as grim with only 500 or so attending church each week.  Establishing Mountainview International Church among these Internationals is one way we can bring the Gospel back to the heart of Spain and stimulate church planting across the country.

Mountainview recently launched a top-notch web site.  If you want to know more about Mountainview, visit http://www.mountainview-church.com .

Working with Mountainview will be our full-time job over the next two years, and we need to raise our salaries, as well as a strong prayer and encouragement support base.  We are asking you to prayerfully consider partnering with us for the next two years through your prayer support and by investing $20 to $50 per month in our ministry.

If God is leading you to support our vision and mission, either click here to print a Support Form, email us at the address below,  or give us a call at (712)722-1041.

Thanks for your consideration,
